UEECD0043 Solve problems in D.C. circuits

Lessons #1-#5 : Assessment #1 (T1-T7) Lessons #6-10 : Assessment #2 (T8-T15)

How these lessons work: Theory, Tutorials and Practicals.

  1. All lessons are based on the textbook by Phillips called ” Electrical Principles”. You will need the textbook to follow the lessons.
  2. Each lesson is a video divided into bite size sections. These vary from 15 to 30 minutes each. There is between 3 to 5 videos per lesson. Watch the lessons as you also follow along in the textbook.
  3. After the video theory lesson sections, there is a interactive video tutorial. This works through a range of worked examples from the lesson. The video poses a question and gives you an opportunity to answer. Then a “Hint” is provided and then finally the answer is given. The answer is then also worked through and explained. This is a very strong aspect to your learning.
  4. The final video in each lesson is a practical demonstration. This video sets up a practical that demonstrates all the aspects of the physics being learnt. Again problems are posed, solved and explained.
  5. The approach here in “Wired for Imagination” is to bring meaning, through understanding. Once a student has meaning then learning has occured. This is achieved by encouraging good imagination skills coupled with engaging the electrical physics from three directions. These directions are typically; theory, modeling application (maths) and practical demonstration.
